A Note From The Chairman

Hello and welcome to Portsmouth IVC.

I would first like to welcome you to the website of Portsmouth IVC and the National IVC network. I hope your membership with us is a truly enjoyable one and one that will be a very long and enjoyable one as it has been for our members.

As the chairman of Portsmouth IVC; it is my job to tell you about the range of events that we provide to our membership and how we can give you a social club that is unparalleled in terms of the events we can offer and also in our network of linked activities as well.

As a member of the Association of Inter Varsity Clubs (AIVC), we can not only offer you a range of local activities, we can also offer you access to a nationwide network of activities and clubs around the country, thereby giving you a far better experience and range of events for your membership fee within our club.

If there is anything I can do to make the events more enjoyable, more fun, and therefore keep you happy as a member of both the Portsmouth IVC and also the National IVC network, then please feel free to let me know what I can do to help make your membership and thus our club more enjoyable for you and everyone involved.

My job is to serve as your chairman and thus look after and run the club for the year that I am standing in this position. Thus, if there is any way that I can improve the club and the way it is run, then I will do my best to make sure that this happens for you the member’s during my term in this position.

I hope to be able to speak and chat with all the members at some point during the year that I am chairman, hopefully listen to any suggestions and ideas for events and activities that you would all like to be put on, and any improvements that you may like to suggest which we can discuss in our committee meetings as well. We are always open to suggestions from all members no matter how trivial or silly they may seem.
