Ed’s BBQ
Hello Everyone,
Just a quick note about Ed’s BBQ held on 4th July to celebrate Independance Day.
The day when the Americans became independant from the British (or is it the other way round).
However either way we decided to have a celebration BBQ at Ed’s house with lots of good food provided by Ed.
The event was enjoyed by all with Music, dancing and a water fight!
Then we went along to Hamble river and The Rising Sun pub to enjoy the fireworks on the riverside along with a lovely refreshing drink!

Christmas Dinner Dance Menu Choices
Please let Ed know your menu choices for the Christmas Dinner Dance from the choices below (and your monies) by Halloween:
Starters
- Chef’s Minestrone Soup
- Country Style Pate served with toasted French bread and cranberry drizzle
- Prawn, Apple & Celery Cocktail brewed in a light mayonnaise dressing
Main Course
- Roast Breast of Turkey served with traditional accompaniments
- Roast Top Rump of Beef served with Yorkshire Pudding
- Mushroom & Stilton Stroganoff a creamy stroganoff served with a timbale of rice
Desserts
- Traditional Christmas Pudding served with brandy sauce
- Home Baked Apple Pie & vanilla custard
- Tiramisu

Barbecue in Farlington
BBQ
Anna organised a great barbecue in her back garden on the 1st August. We were fortunate with the weather (not easy with our summer weather) and everyone had a great time.

Don’t forget the BBQ on the 25th July.
Update 22nd July
The club will provide plates, cutlery, salad, rolls, sauces etc. Please bring your own food to cook on the BBQ.
We aim to have the grill ready for cooking at 6pm. Please buy your drinks at the pub bar. There will be a £5 charge on the night to cover the hire of the BBQ and the salad / bread etc. provided by the club.
